Men and Women With and For Others
Regis Jesuit Hockey Community Service Highlights from the 2025 - 2026 hockey season.
Kick Ash Cancer Events
Our student-athletes created two hundred and twenty-seven (227) cards and made encouraging videos for forty-two (42) Warriors. Our Kick Ash Cancer Fundraising Game and Regis Jesuit Alumni Game raised $3,375 in support of finding a cure for childhood cancers.
"Pink the Rink" Event raised $2,560 for breast cancer research. Student-athletes wore pink capes for warm ups and our opponent even wore the capes too! Bringing even more awareness to the cause.
Annual “Teddy Bear Toss” Game
This annual event, if you haven’t been, is all about the kids at Children’s Hospital. The moment the first RJ hockey goal is scored, fans throw stuffed teddy bears onto the ice. Every stuffie is quickly collected so that the game can continue. This year senior Jeremy Kornmesser scored the goal! On a designated day, our players come to Children's Hospital to personally deliver the stuffies.
Annual “Lark” Fundraiser
For this event, the entire hockey program gets excited to raise money! We proudly nailed it this year by bringing in $18,500 which we were told was the second largest gift the hockey team had ever given to Lark. Currently, many eyes are on the FIFA World Cup and it makes us proud that our contribution to Lark is helping both the school financially and a “lucky” family to experience one of these games in person. It’s a win-win. Go USA!
“Varsity Treats”
Our hockey community continues to give treats to every RJ varsity player, in all sports, every sport season. That’s just shy of 750 treats given out per year. What makes this fun is that the moms of the hockey players gather to have dinner and drinks while we assemble the treat bags. This year we received the nicest letter from a parent of one of the girls on the Girls’ Wrestling team in addition to them sending our hockey players treats during our playoff run. It was a full circle moment for us!
Eleven (11) of our most impactful RJ teachers were recognized and honored by the senior hockey players. Each teacher was given a T-shirt, a thank you note and they were invited to be a part of senior night. A video of each senior sharing why they chose their impactful teacher was captured and played during the End of the Season Banquet.
